Relationships first

We work with bands, venues and crews for the long run. Straight talk, fair deals and showing up when we say we will. The people we work with today are the people we want to be working with in ten years.

A room everyone belongs in

A GRM night should feel welcoming from the door to the front row. First timers, die hards and the bands themselves, everyone should leave wanting to come back to the next one.

Talent over numbers

We back bands because they're good, not because of their follower count. If you've got the songs and the work ethic, we'll help you build the crowd.

Booking agent

We'll book your band. No lock in.

Green Room Mgmt. is a booking agent for any band that asks, not just our roster. A one off show, a run of dates or a full tour, we'll book it. We work non-exclusively, so there's no lock in contract unless you want one.

Built on the Sunshine Coast.

Green Room Mgmt. started with a simple idea: make live music accessible again, and give talented local bands a real path from their first gig to a national tour.

GRM sits right inside the grassroots Australian live music scene. Everything we do is built on relationships. We get to know the bands we work with, the venues that host us and the crews behind the desk, and we look after them like the long term partners they are.

We pick bands for their talent and their attitude, not their numbers. A great band with a small following is exactly who we want to help, and we'll put them on bills that grow their crowd show by show.

And every GRM night is built to be welcoming. Free entry where we can, carefully curated line ups, and a room where punters, bands and staff all feel like part of the same scene.

We work with the venues, sound crews and promoters week in, week out. That means fair deals, good slots and nights that run on time.

We're there on the night

A GRM show has a GRM crew in the room, from load in to the last song. Bands and venues always have someone to talk to.

Respect, always

Harassment, abuse and discrimination have no place at a GRM show. Anyone who makes the room unsafe is asked to leave.

Someone to talk to

If something feels wrong, tell venue staff, security or the GRM crew on the night. You can also contact us privately after the show.

Clear deals in writing, every band on the bill paid, and set times we stick to. Bands should feel as welcome as the crowd.

Coming to a show

Are GRM shows free?

Live and Local, our Saturday night shows at Black Flag Brewing Mooloolaba, are free entry. Headline and touring shows, like those on the Coolum inside stage, are ticketed through Oztix. Each listing on the Shows page says which.

Are shows all ages?

Most GRM shows are at licensed venues and are 18+. All ages shows are clearly marked when they're announced.

How do I hear about shows first?

Join the mailing list at the bottom of any page, and follow @green_room_mgmt on Instagram. Shows are usually announced about six weeks out.

What if something goes wrong at a show?

Talk to venue staff, security or the GRM crew straight away. You can also contact us privately after the night and we'll follow it up.

For bands

Can GRM book shows or a tour for my band?

Yes. We're a booking agent for any band that asks, not just our roster. Tell us whether you want a single show, a run of dates or a full tour, and send your music through the Contact page. We'll tell you straight what we can do.

Do we have to sign an exclusive contract?

No. We book non-exclusively, so there's no lock in contract unless you want one. You can keep booking your own shows and working with other agents and promoters.

How do I play a GRM show at Black Flag Mooloolaba?

Send us your music through the Play Black Flag Mooloolaba form on the Contact page. We listen to everything and book on the strength of the songs, the live show and how the band fits the night. We book indie, alt rock, punk and post hardcore, and Sunshine Coast bands get first look.

Do we need a big following?

No. We back bands for their talent, not their numbers. If you're good and you work hard, we'll help you build the crowd. Local Sunshine Coast bands get first look for our opening slots.

Do bands get paid?

Yes. Every band on a GRM bill is paid, and each band is paid separately, so the headliner never has to sort out the supports.

Can we choose our own supports?

GRM curates every line up so the night works as a whole. On touring shows, the opening slot always goes to a local band.

Can GRM run live music at my venue?

Yes. We build regular live music programs for venues, covering booking, curation, posters and promotion. Get in touch and tell us about your room.

Blackflag Brewing has been the home of GRM shows on the Sunshine Coast, and a partnership we're proud of. Two venues, two very different nights: the original back alley taphouse in Mooloolaba and the brewery Compound in Coolum.

Mooloolaba's worst kept secret: Blackflag's original taphouse, hidden down a back alley a few minutes from Mooloolaba Beach. Free pool, fresh beer straight from the brewery, and a proper punk rock spirit.

Green Room Mgmt. Presents: free live music every month. Curated line ups of the best local bands, with a focus on indie, alt rock, punk, post hardcore and hip hop nights. Local Sunshine Coast acts come first.

The Blackflag Compound: home of the production brewery, with an upstairs bar and beer garden overlooking the brew house, plus ping pong, basketball hoops, vintage arcade games and food trucks on weekends.

Its 500 capacity inside stage hosts national touring acts like The Rubens, JET and Karnivool. GRM promotes ticketed nights here with a local opener on every bill, so touring shows help grow the Sunshine Coast scene.

Green Room Mgmt. ("GRM", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it and how you can get in touch about it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

Enquiries. When you use our contact form we collect your name, email address and anything you include in your message, such as show dates, venues or artists.
Band submissions. When you apply to play a GRM show we collect your band name, email address, where the band is based, home town, genre, links to your music and videos, and anything you tell us about the band.
Mailing list. When you join our mailing list we collect your email address.

We don't ask for sensitive information, and we don't collect payment details through this website.

How we use it

To reply to your enquiry and to book, promote and run shows.
To review band submissions and get in touch about playing a show.
To send our mailing list emails about upcoming shows and news. Every email has an unsubscribe link and you can leave at any time.

We will never sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

If your band is booked for a show, we may share your band's details with the venue and production crew for that show. We also use a few trusted services to run this website:

Formspree delivers our contact and band submission forms to our inbox.
Kit stores our mailing list and sends our emails.
Cloudflare hosts this website.
Google Workspace runs our email.

Some of these services store information on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose providers that keep data secure, but by using our forms you understand your information may be stored overseas.

Cookies and embedded content

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies of our own. Artist pages include embedded Spotify players and YouTube videos. Those services may set their own cookies or collect usage information when you play them, under their own privacy policies. YouTube videos are embedded in privacy enhanced mode.

Keeping it safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep it only as long as we need it for the reasons above, then delete it.

Access, corrections and unsubscribing

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To leave the mailing list, use the unsubscribe link in any email or contact us.
